The Mods
Back in Febraury of 2006 the fantastical Mods handed this wonderful community into the excited and loving hands ofnoheadlines & silhouettes1. This excited team picked up truelovebelieve a few weeks later, perfecting their super MOD team! Since that date the mods have worked hard and loved this community with every little bit they had to give and hope to keep with it for some more time to come!
Mandie has been writing B&G fic since July 2005. She is 25, lives in New Zealand and works as a journalist when she is not sleeping or writing fanfic.
Fun facts about Mandie:
- She is a vegetarian.
- She once punched a guy in the face while stoned.
- She is obsessed with Tudor England and Queen Elizabeth I is her hero.
- She is the manager of her brother's rock band, The Mourning Surrender.
- She wants to buy a beagle puppy and name it Joe Strummer.
- She fangirls over Bob Bryar and has been known to yell, "Save A Drum, Bang A Drummer!"
About Heather.. Oh man. I've been reading and writing MCR/B&G slash since about August of 2005. And Actually one of the first fics I ever read was bynoheadlines so you all know that it was the perfect, wonderful introduction into the slash world. I'm nearly 24 now and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.. which I HATE... and am headed East Coast later this year! I'm a starving musician music nerd with high hopes of pulling a B-Schec and ruling the music business world managing and tour managing some awesome bands! I also am an amature hair dresser (keeping my amature status so i can compete in the hair olympics!) and I swear I will get that hair certificate eventually then I can rock my rockers with awesome hair sorry kids.. i don't DO a 'connector cut'.. no way. no how. I sleep too much and procrastinate even more! I was super stoked when the community was offered to Mandie and she asked me to co-mod with her. My head is full of ideas and I've had so much fun using them here since we took over
I found this community two summers ago when I searched for Gerard and Bert through LJ. Surprise, surprise, this community came up first on the list. I was a newbie to slash and this community got me in to it. I spent most of my online time waiting for my favorite author to update, then one day I was asked by a friend I met through here to be a Mod with her and the author that I looked up to so much. And here I am today, writing up my "About Me" for the mod section.
I'm a band geek through and through, most of my time is spent at band, or jazz band, or just hanging around in the band room playing random instruments that I dont know how to play. I've modded several less popular communities including the now pretty inactive wtf_bert. I used to be really up on the whole internet thing but lately I havent had much time to be online (blame band). I dont write... not because I cant, but because I choose not to. I dont believe that any of my writing is worth reading (though I've been told otherwise). I can beta. I'm a stickler for grammar, spelling and punctuation. I am often heard correcting anyone around me, including teachers. I'm not too shabby at helping with plot and detail either, so if you're looking for someone to beta your story then email me. I've made this rather long, longer than I expected. So I'll cut it off here. If you ever need anything dont hesitate to IM me. :)
